Audition Date for Next Year's Season
Wednesday, September 1, 2010
4:00-10:00 p.m.
All returning and new orchestra students are required to audition.
Any middle or high school student who plays a standard orchestral instrument is invited to audition. Please prepare a solo under four minutes in length (or an excerpt from a larger work). Sight reading will also be included on the audition.
To schedule an audition, please e-mail us at sbyomusic@gmail.com. In your e-mail, tell us what you play, how old you are, and your preferred audition time on Wednesday, September 1 between 4:00-10:00 p.m.
Students who join the SBYO must register for the Community Education Program at El Camino College. The yearly membership fee is $300. The fee is $150 for students who join midyear. Families with multiple children in the orchestra will receive a discount.
Auditions take place in the Marsee Auditorium on the El Camino College campus. Please be sure to pay for parking to avoid a ticket.
Please bring completed forms to your audition. We will have extra forms at the audition as well.
